BEYONCE'S NOTE TO MICHEAL JACKSON ON THE 5TH ANNIVERSARY OF HIS DEATH

When I was just starting out, my first producer used to make me listen to Michael Jackson’s live performance of “Who’s Loving You.”  He would have me watch that for hours back to back to back. What he wanted me to learn was his soul.  You could hear his soul.  And he was this little kid who hadn’t experienced love but he was a vessel. For whatever reason he could evoke more emotion than an adult.  It was so raw and so pure.  It was these little things that he did that were just swag. t’s something that’s God given. Michael taught me that sometimes you have to forget technique, forget what you have on.  If you feel silly, you have to go from the gut just let it go. Michael Jackson changed me, and helped me to become the artist I am thank you Michael. Love always Beyonce

The Disney diva’s got more style sense in her pinky finger than most middle-aged adults have in their whole bodies and a wardrobe that’s wise beyond her years, and now, at only 17, she’s taking on an all new role, which could very well be the biggest one of her life. It was announced yesterday that the most stylish teen on the scene has been cast to play Aaliyah in an upcoming Lifetime biopic, tentatively titled Aaliyah: Princess of R&B. We don’t have any other deets just yet, but if the picture that her stylist Luxury Law posted following the announcement is any indication of what we can expect, it’s pretty clear that Z is that somebody. We definitely did a double-take.

INDIA ARIE WRITES OPEN LETTER TO BLUE IVY CRITIC

“Why does anyone get the idea that its ok to make fun of a child?
In public no less? This celebrity culture that hypnotizes people into thinking a person is LITERALLY NOT REAL because you see them on television is a spell the watcher HIM or HER SELF MUST BREAK. Blue Ivy — is a CHILD. And ANYONE thinking to themselves right now: “But she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth so what does it matter what I say” — Denying ANY PERSON their humanity, is a GAME we should ALL stop playing. WHY? Because it’s the kind of PERSON YOU WANT TO BE. Why NOT be a person who is loving towards human kind as a whole AND people as individuals?
WHY NOT be a person protects the hearts of children? I think! all these people making negative comments would feel the SAME WAY if Blue Ivy’s hair were TOO DONE. If she had a relaxer, of Hair pulled too tight at the edges. Being gentle with a child’s hair is simply appropriate – this goes the same for ALL children. Come ya’ll Lol Were ARE better than this.”  ~ India
I think we have beat the Blue Ivy thing to death, personally I am tired of it and while many share my sentiment, I was still glad to see another celeb speak out about it. India is a perfect spokesperson because this sort of thing hits home for her having been natural for as long as she has. Blue is a child, being ridiculed before she is even 5 years old… I am going to stop there! What do you think about what India had to say? Do you think this is something more celebrities should voice?
